Jefferson Pilot Hires Warren May

NU Online News Service, Aug. 14, 4:25 p.m. – Jefferson Pilot Financial, Greensboro, N.C., has hired Warren May to be executive vice president-marketing and distribution.

May will be responsible for individual life and annuity marketing, and he will serve on the company’s management committee.

May previously was chief executive officer of Travelers Life Distributors, a unit of Citigroup Inc., New York. He also has been president of Jack May Insurance Agency, Atlanta. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance and insurance from the University of South Carolina.

May succeeds Kenneth Mlekush, who has announced plans to retire in February 2004. Mlekush will continue to be a Jefferson Pilot vice chairman until he retires, the company says.

Jefferson Pilot Financial is a unit of Jefferson-Pilot Corp.
