Health Net Hires Connecticut Medical Director

NU Online News Service, Aug. 6, 12:12 p.m. – Health Net of the Northeast Inc., Shelton, Conn., has hired Dr. Jesse Samuels to be medical director for Connecticut.

Previously, Samuels worked for Oxford Health Plans Inc., Trumbull, Conn., and other managed care companies. He also worked as an emergency department director for a Veteran’s hospital.

Samuels has a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Columbia University and a medical degree from Duke University. He completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of North Carolina, residency training in psychiatry at Yale, and residency training in pediatrics from the University of Connecticut.
