NU Online News Service, Aug. 6, 1:03 p.m. – FileNET Corp., Costa Mesa, Calif., has licensed use of its Acenza for Insurance data-management software to CIGNA Group Insurance, a unit of CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia.

CIGNA will use the Acenza software to upgrade its disability claims management system.

Once CIGNA sets up the new system, customer service representatives will be able to see documents, forms and correspondence on their computer screens; track the status of transactions that are in process; and view files that happen to be linked to a central document, FileNET says.

The system will also use standard claims rules to try to route claims to the right person to start with, FileNET says.
