HealthExtras Reports 2nd Quarter Net Income

NU Online News Service, Aug. 1, 4:24 p.m. – HealthExtras Inc., Rockville, Md., a company that sells disability insurance, pharmacy benefit management services and other products, is reporting $1.6 million in net income for the second quarter on $55 million in revenue, compared with a $3.8 million net loss on $22 million in revenue for the second quarter of 2001.

HealthExtras is best known as the company that has hired Christopher Reeve, an actor who played Superman, to help it market accidental disability insurance and other supplemental health and disability products.
