NU Online News Service, July 25, 10:24 a.m. – StanCorp Financial Group Inc., Portland, Ore., has promoted Cindy McPike to vice president and chief financial officer.
StanCorp is the parent company of Standard Insurance Company, a major seller of group disability insurance and other employee benefits.
McPike will now supervise the company’s accounting, treasury, tax, internal audit, investor relations and corporate actuarial activities.
She succeeds Eric Parsons, who took over as StanCorp’s chief operating officer in May.
McPike has been the company’s controller and treasurer since February 2000. Previously, she worked as the internal audit director at NW Natural, Portland, a gas company, and as an audit manager at Deloitte & Touche L.L.P.
McPike has a bachelor’s degree from Portland State University. She holds the Certified Public Accountant professional designation.
