NU Online News Service, July 11, 1:46 p.m. – Independent Financial Marketing Group Inc., Purchase, N.Y., says it will be distributing Web-based financial planning services to bank investment and insurance programs through IFMG Securities Inc., its registered broker-dealer.

IFMG Securities is already a registered investment advisor in 15 states, and the company has applied for permission to act as an RIA in others, Independent Financial says.

Independent Financial is a unit of Sun Life Financial Services of Canada Inc., Toronto.
