NU Online News Service, July 9, 10:15 a.m. – The Ceres Group Inc., Cleveland, has hired Thomas Kilian to succeed Peter Nauert as its president and chief executive officer.
Nauert will continue to serve as chairman of the company, which sells major medical insurance and insurance products aimed at older consumers, until June 2003, but Kilian will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations, Ceres says.
Kilian previously was chief operating officer of Conseco Inc., Carmel, Ind. Before he joined Conseco in 1989, he was president of Pioneer Financial Services Inc., Rockford, Ill.
Kilian has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame.
