NU Online News Service, June 27, 2:18 p.m. – MetLife Inc., New York, reports the voluntary long-term care insurance program it set up for Michigan’s 62,000 state employees and retirees has achieved a participation rate of 16%.

The Michigan program participation rate is two to three times higher than the typical participation rate for a voluntary long-term care program, MetLife reports.

MetLife says Michigan benefits managers helped increase enrollment with a $2.7 million LTC public education campaign and a vigorous employee education campaign.
