LOMA Hires Cipinko To Head LIC

NU Online News Service, June 18, 1:29 p.m. – LOMA, Atlanta, has hired Scott Cipinko to be executive director of the Life Insurers Council, a trade group founded in 1910 that serves insurers in the home service, middle-market, pre-need and final expense life insurance markets.

LOMA acquired LIC through a merger in 1997.

Cipinko succeeds Bruce Dalzell, who has retired after 15 years as LIC’s executive director.

Before Cipinko joined LIC, he was executive director of the National Alliance of Life Companies, Rosemont, Ill. He also has been general counsel of the Consumer Credit Insurance Association, Chicago; an associate at Garofalo, Hanson, Schreiber & Vandik Chartered, Chicago, a law firm; an associate general counsel with the Illinois Office of the Special Deputy Receiver; and the co-founder of an insurance agency in Glenview, Ill.

Cipinko has a bachelor’s degree from De Paul University and a law degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
