Benefits Advisors Form Producer Group

NU Online News Service, June 17, 4:48 p.m. – Fifteen independent benefits advisory firms have started United Benefit Advisors, Indianapolis, a producer group for independent benefits advisors.

David J. LoCascio of Indianapolis will be the first president, and Christopher John of Austin, Texas, will be the first vice president.

Organizers say they are modeling the benefits producer group after similar producer groups that operate in the life insurance and property-casualty fields.

The charter members include Acadia Benefits Inc., Portland, Maine; Benefit Management Inc., Gaithersburg, Md. Benefit Sources & Solutions Inc., Bound Brook, N.J.; Colorado Insurance Center Inc., Colorado Springs, Colo.; Flexible Corporate Plans Inc., Birmingham, Ala.; Horne/Guest, Mount Pleasant, S.C.; Lindberg & Ripple Inc., Windsor, Conn.; LoCascio Hadden & Dennis L.L.C., Indianapolis; Resource Financial Group/Benefits.com, Austin, Texas; Schultz Rowson/J. Smith Lanier & Company, Alpharetta, Ga.; The Benefit Company, Atlanta; The Megro Corp., Radnor, Pa.; The Quarles Group, Tulsa, Okla.; The Sprotte Organization, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Travers O’Keefe & Associates, New York.
