NU Online News Service, June 10, 1:59 p.m. – CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia, is setting up a free program to coordinate CIGNA major medical services and CIGNA group disability programs for employers that have both.
When CIGNA major medical administrators find employees with medical problems that could lead to disability claims, CIGNA will call the employees to help with the claims process and offer return-to-work planning services, CIGNA says.
CIGNA will also coordinate rehabilitation activities, treatment schedules and the use of local community resources in an effort to increase employees’ chances for returning to work.
