Texas Delta Reports Enrollment Gains

NU Online News Service, June 6, 12:58 p.m. – Delta Dental Insurance Company, Irving, Texas, says its enrollment has increased to 1.1 million, up 13% from a year ago.

Texas Delta is an affiliate of the Delta Dental Plans Association, a nonprofit association that serves the dental coverage industry much as the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association serves the major medical industry.

Texas Delta says combined enrollment for its fee-for-service and preferred provider plans amounts to 1.1 million, and enrollment in its dental health maintenance organization is 54,000.

Fee-for-service enrollment increased 255,000 in 2001, Texas Delta reports.
