CNA Shifts Postal Worker Plan To First Health

NU Online News Service, June 4, 3:25 p.m. – CNA Financial Corporation, Chicago, today announced that it is selling its Claims Administration Corporation subsidiary to First Health Group Corp., Downers Grove, Ill., and transferring the National Post Mail Handlers Union group benefits plan to First Health, effective July 1. Both companies say they will continue to work together to ensure a smooth transition of services.

“Our CAC staff represent approximately 1,000 loyal and committed employees,” says Robert McGinnis, executive vice president, CNA Group Operations. “We are gratified that First Health recognized the talent and capability of such a dedicated group of individuals.”

First Health, a health benefits company, specializes in providing large employers with group health and workers’ compensation plans.
