NU Online News Service, May 31, 12:43 p.m. – Hartford Life Inc., Simsbury, Conn., says it will put its Wayne, Pa.-based PLANCO distribution unit in charge of marketing the Putnam Hartford Capital Manager variable annuity product line.
PLANCO, which already distributes other Hartford variable annuities, will double the number of wholesalers selling the Putnam Hartford annuity and build a wholesaling support team for the annuity, Hartford says.
Putnam Investments, Boston, began managing the investments wrapped in the Putnam Hartford variable annuity contract in 1988. It and Hartford have shared responsibility for distributing the annuity.
Hartford Life is a subsidiary of Hartford Financial Services Inc., Hartford.
