Prudential Names Connelly Individual Life COO

NU Online News Service, May 29, 6:15 p.m. – Prudential Financial Inc., Newark, N.J., has promoted Beth Anne Connelly to chief operating officer for individual life insurance.

Connelly will be responsible for all individual life operations, systems, new business, underwriting, risk management and business administration. She will report to Jim Avery, president of individual life products.

Connelly previously was Prudential’s vice president for corporate center operations and systems. She supervised operations and systems related to financial management, human resources, corporate governance and the company’s demutualization efforts.

Connelly joined Prudential in 1998 after a 16-year career at Chase Manhattan Bank, New York.

Connelly has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the State University College of New York, Fredonia, and a master’s degree in business from Pace University.
