NU Online News Service, May 28, 10:24 a.m. – The BISYS Group Inc., New York, has acquired Harrison James Group L.L.C., an insurance brokerage firm that handles wholesale distribution of traditional life insurance, variable life insurance and annuities.
Harrison James has especially strong distribution networks in the Southwest, Chicago, St. Louis and Birmingham, Ala., BISYS says.
The value of the deal and other terms were not disclosed.
BISYS, a company that sells business and technology support services to financial services firms, plans to fold Harrison James into its insurance and education services unit.
