NU Online News Service, May 21, 3:05 p.m. – American International Group Inc., New York, has responded to weakness in its share price by beefing up its investor relations staff and establishing an “Investor Help Desk.”
The help desk will answer individual and institutional investors’ questions about the company.
Investors with questions can call 212-770-6580 for information during normal business hours.
“In the current environment, rumor, innuendo and other misinformation circulated by various sources can generate unwarranted concerns,” AIG Chairman M.R. Greenberg says in a statement about the new investor relations initiatives. “We want to ensure that all of our investors have ready access to reliable information about our company.”
