NU Online News Service, May 13, 5:15 p.m. – BenefitPort Inc., Greenwich, Conn., has agreed to distribute the personal health advocacy services sold by Health Advocate Inc., West Conshohocken, Pa.
BenefitPort now has an exclusive agreement to market the advocacy program to insurance brokers and agents in New York, Connecticut and northern New Jersey.
Health Advocate assigns registered nurses to help program members communicate with doctors, hospitals and insurance plans.
The nurses can help members find doctors and solve insurance administration problems.
The founder and president of Health Advocate is Michael Cardillo, a former president of Aetna U.S. Healthcare, Hartford.
