AIG Promotes Two American General Alumni

NU Online News Service, May 6, 1:46 p.m. – AIG SunAmerica, Los Angeles, a unit of American International Group Inc., New York, has promoted Bruce Abrams and Robert Condon to executive vice president.

Both executives are alumni of American General Corp., Houston, an insurer that AIG acquired in late 2001.

Abrams is now president of AIG Annuity Insurance Company, which previously was American General Annuity Insurance Company. Before AIG acquired American General, Abrams was American General’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer for financial institutions marketing.

Abrams has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University and holds the NASD series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.

Condon has been president of AIG VALIC, a variable annuity company, since 2000. Before AIG acquired American General, VALIC was a subsidiary of American General.

Condon has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston College and is a NASD-registered principal. Condon is a founding director of the Financial Institutions Insurance Association.
