NU Online News Service, April 24, 4:53 p.m. – CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia, says its CIGNA HealthCare unit in Tennessee will be offering CIGNA HealthCare Open Access plans to Nashville-area employers with 50 to 250 employees.
Members of the plans can see specialists without seeking approval from their primary care physicians.
Traditionally, CIGNA has focused on large employers, but the company says it now wants to try selling to midsize employers in Nashville and other Tennessee markets.
