NU Online News Service, April 22, 12:46 p.m. – Cotton States Life Insurance Company, Atlanta, is reporting $1.5 million in net income for the first quarter on $11 million in revenue, up from $1 million in net income on $10 million in revenue for the first quarter of 2001.

Traditional life insurance, guaranteed-issue whole life products and simplified-issue whole life products did especially well, the company says.

Cotton States Life trades on the Nasdaq National Market under its own symbol, CSLI, but it is an affiliate of a multiline insurance holding company, the Cotton States Insurance Group.
