NU Online News Service, April 11, 12:13 p.m. – EHealthInsurance Services Inc., Sunnyvale, Calif., is now selling dental insurance in 44 states and the District of Columbia through its Web sales site.
The company is distributing eight individual and family dental policies from Multiflex Dental, a unit of Merchants Benefit Administration Inc., Phoenix, and Security Life Insurance Company of America, a unit of Security American Financial Enterprises Inc., Minneapolis.
Multiflex will offer three indemnity plans, and Security Life will offer three indemnity plans and two preferred provider plans, eHealthInsurance says.
The company reports that 80% of its current customers lack dental insurance, and that 70% of those customers want dental insurance.
