NU Online News Service, April 9, 1:19 p.m. – MetLife Investors Distribution Company, Newport Beach, Calif., has hired Les Sutherland to be the executive vice president in charge of its broker/dealer and bank channels.
MetLife Inc. formed the MetLife Investors unit to build sales through channels other than its traditional career agent sales force.
Sutherland succeeds Ed Wilson, who was promoted to executive vice president in charge of the wirehouse channel.
Sutherland previously spent a year as a divisional sales manager for the eastern United States for American Skandia.
MetLife Investors will continue to have dedicated field resources for the broker/dealer and bank channels, but those channels will share support platforms with other MetLife Investors businesses, MetLife Investors says.
