Old Mutual Changes Name Of New York Unit

NU Online News Service, April 2, 10:45 a.m. – Old Mutual P.L.C., London, the parent company of Fidelity and Guaranty Life Insurance Company, Baltimore, has changed the name of an F&G Life subsidiary, Thomas Jefferson Life Insurance Company, Purchase, N.Y., to Fidelity and Guaranty Life Insurance Company of New York.

F&G Life of NY, which was incorporated in 1962, sells annuities and life insurance products through independent agents and brokers.

Old Mutual made a major effort to expand in the United States in September 2001, by completing a $635 million acquisition of F&G Life of Baltimore.
