Hartford Expands Stag Life Sales Program

NU Online News Service, March 12, 10:23 a.m. – The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, is reaching out to independent broker-dealer firms by offering them access to its Stag Foundation Life life insurance sales program.

The program helps stockbrokers, bank representatives, financial planners and other financial advisors ease their way into life insurance sales, by relieving them of responsibility for screening applicants.

Once participating advisors find applicants, Hartford’s individual life operations center does all the underwriting.

Hartford began offering the program to the big Wall Street brokerage firms and the big regional broker-dealer firms in 1999. Products available through the program include term life insurance and variable universal life insurance.
