Met Unit To Help Merrill Lynch With Annuity Sales

NU Online News Service, March 11, 12:51 p.m. – MetLife Investors Distribution Company, Newport Beach, Calif., will sell annuities to clients of Merrill Lynch Insurance Group, New York, under an agreement announced today.

Greg Brakovich, co-chief executive of MetLife Investors, says the agreement gives MetLife an opportunity to increase its share of the annuity market “considerably.”

MetLife Investors Distribution, a unit of MetLife Inc., New York, was created in 2001. It sells MetLife insurance financial services through registered investment advisors, financial planners, regional broker-dealers, wirehouses and banks.
