New York Life Names Special Markets VP

NU Online News Service, Feb. 13, 9:45 a.m. – New York Life Insurance Company, New York, says Robert Sackel has joined the company as a vice president and actuary in its special markets department.

Sackel is part of the department’s group membership association division.

Sackel came to New York Life from Guardian Life Insurance Company, New York, where his responsibilities included valuing reserves for all group products.

Sackel has a bachelor’s degree from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, New York.

He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and he was president of the Actuarial Society of Greater New York from 1995 to 1996.
