NU Online News Service, Feb. 6, 10:56 a.m. – Phoenix Investment Partners, Hartford, has hired Denise Winchar as president of its Institutional Markets Group, which is based in Chicago.
Before joining Phoenix, Winchar was the founder and chief executive of The Belvedere Partnership, a marketing consulting firm in California.
Phoenix Investment Partners is a unit of The Phoenix Companies Inc., Hartford.
Winchar succeeds Thomas Steenburg, who has been president of the Phoenix institutional markets unit since 2000.
Steenburg will retire April 1 after 18 years of service with The Phoenix Companies and seven with Phoenix Investment Partners.
