NU Online News Service, Jan. 23, 4:23 p.m. – UICI, Dallas, has hired CHCS Services Inc. to administer long-term care insurance and Medicare supplement insurance products sold by two subsidiaries, The MEGA Life and Health Insurance Company and Mid-West National Life Insurance Company of Tennessee.
CHCS, a unit of Universal American Financial Corp., Rye Brook, N.Y., will handle underwriting, billing, customer service and claims administration, UICI says.
Although UICI is turning policy administration over to CHCS, it will continue to develop and sell new LTC insurance and Medicare supplement products itself, UICI says.
