Nationwide Investment Chief Announces Retirement

NU Online News Service, Jan. 14, 1:23 p.m. – Robert Woodward Jr., the chief investment officer of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, Columbus, Ohio, is retiring after 38 years with Nationwide, the company says.

Woodward is also executive vice president and chief investment officer at Nationwide Financial Services Inc., a Nationwide unit that sells life insurance and annuities.

Woodward joined Nationwide in 1964 as a mortgage loan underwriter. He moved up through the real estate investment and fixed-income investment operations, then received his current titles in 1995.
