NU Online News Service, Jan. 9, 3:06 p.m. – Vision Plan of America, Los Angeles, has agreed to sell vision care plans through the benefits Web distribution site run by BenefitPoint Inc., San Francisco.
Vision Plan has been selling employee-paid and employer-paid managed vision care plans in California since 1985. Managers now want to use the BenefitPort site to sell indemnity vision insurance products in other states, Vision Plan says.
The BenefitPoint system, launched in February 2000, sells products from 30 regional and national insurance carriers, BenefitPoint says.
