NU Online News Service, Jan. 3, 1:04 p.m. – U.S. consumers say prescription drug costs, universal health insurance and prescription drug benefits for seniors are the top three health issues the government should address this year, according to Opinion Research Corp. International, Princeton, N.J.

Opinion Research surveyed 1,039 U.S. residents for AmerisourceBergen, Valley Forge, Pa., a pharmaceutical services company owned by Bergen Brunswig Corp., Orange, Calif.

Sixty-three percent of the participants said drug manufacturers, pharmacies and taxpayers should share the cost of providing drug coverage for seniors, Opinion Research says.
