Association Offers LTC Broker Liability Coverage

NU Online News Service, Dec. 13, 12:12 p.m. – The American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, Westlake Village, Calif., is now offering a professional liability insurance program for independent agents and brokers who sell long-term care insurance.

Fireman?fs Fund Insurance Company, Novato, Calif., an Allianz A.G. unit, is underwriting the policies. Liability limits range from $500,000 to $2 million, with a standard deductible of $1,000.

Association members can also buy optional coverage to protect them against problems resulting from the sale of life insurance, health insurance and mutual funds.
