Survey: New Jerseyans Happy With Health Plans

NU Online News Service, Nov. 29, 4:23 p.m. – Harris Interactive Inc., Rochester, N.Y., found that most of the 4,500 New Jersey residents it surveyed recently about health insurance were very happy or moderately happy with their health plans.

Thirty-one percent of the participants said they are enrolled in a health maintenance organization, and 15% in a traditional indemnity plan.

Fifty-one percent are enrolled in a preferred provider organization or point-of-service discount plan.

Overall, 11% of the New Jersey residents surveyed rated their level of satisfaction at 10, on a scale of 1 to 10.

Sixty-one percent of the participants picked a satisfaction rating of 7 or higher.

Only 6% of the participants indicated extreme dissatisfaction by picking a satisfaction rating of 1 or 2.
