NU Online News Service, Oct. 29, 2:30 p.m. – BISYS Inc., New York, a company that provides support services for financial services companies, has worked with CIBC Oppenheimer, New York, and a unit of Manulife Financial Corp., Toronto, to develop a new, private-label variable universal life insurance product, the EPVUL policy.
The EPVUL policy is a flexible life insurance policy that offers a large number of investment options, BISYS says.
Manufacturer’s Life Insurance Company of America, a unit of Manulife, will distribute the EPVUL policy through ManEquity Inc. and affiliated broker-dealers that participate in the BISYS Exceptional Producer distribution program.
BISYS says it designed the EPVUL policy to appeal to the producers who sell the bigger, more complicated life insurance policies.
