NU Online News Service, Sept. 21, 2:08 p.m. – Massachusetts Insurance Commissioner Linda Ruthardt says she has no fears of a liquidity crisis affecting insurance companies based in her state as a result of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

She phoned all state-based insurers to make sure they would have no problems in converting securities to cash if they had to meet a surge in claims, and they all indicated they had no liquidity concerns stemming from the losses.
