Sherwood, New York Life To Expand Use of Amarta Software

NU Online News Service, Aug. 29, 10:07 a.m. – Sherwood International, Hartford, Conn., a supplier of information technology solutions to the global insurance market, today announced a plan to deploy Amarta, software with workflow models and templates tailored specifically for the life insurance, health and annuities industry, to four additional New York Life International business units, says Sherwood.

In total, New York Life International, headquartered in New York City, has currently made a commitment to deploy Amarta in eight countries throughout the world.

New York Life International will deploy Amarta on a global scale for new business, policy administration, agency management and claims processing.

In April, Sherwood’s Amarta solution was deployed to New York Life International’s newly formed operation in India.

New York Life International recently introduced five customizable life insurance products and seven riders in the major Indian cities of New Delhi, Mumbai (Bombay), Kolkata (Calcutta), Chennai (Madras), Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Poona
