NU Online News Service, Aug. 21, 11:46 a.m. – The Coventry Center for Financial Professionals, Fort Washington, Pa., has started, a free, monthly e-mail newsletter that covers the life settlements market.

A life settlement is a contract to sell the rights to life insurance policy benefits to someone other than the original beneficiary. Unlike a policyholder who participates in a viatical arrangement, a policyholder who participates in a life settlement need not be terminally ill.

The new life settlements newsletter will focus on use of life settlements in planning for clients who are over age 65, The Coventry Center says.
