ING Benefits Unit Agrees To Distribute Through Web-Based System

NU Online News Service, Aug. 14, 4:55 p.m. – BenefitPoint Inc., San Francisco, says ING Employee Benefits, Minneapolis, has agreed to distribute benefits products through the Web-based BenefitPoint wholesaling network.

BenefitPoint says its network reaches 150 benefits brokerage and consulting firms.

ING Employee Benefits has agreed to use the system to communicate with brokers, handle requests for proposals, and process renewal business.

ING Employee Benefits is the new name for ReliaStar Financial Corp., an insurance company that was acquired by ING Groep N.V., Amsterdam, in late 2000.
