Scottish Annuity Reports Higher Second Quarter Net Income

NU Online News Service, Aug. 8, 2:05 p.m. – Scottish Annuity & Life Holdings Ltd., George Town, Grand Cayman, a new reinsurer, is reporting $3.9 million in net income for the second quarter on $24 million in revenue, up from $2.4 million in net income on $15 million in revenue for the second quarter of 2000.

“In the second quarter, our life reinsurance operations reported meaningful premiums, and our actual claims experience was consistent with expected mortality,” Scott Willkomm, president of the company, said in a statement.
