Jackson National Marketing Unit Reports Strong Annuity Sales Revenue

NU Online News Service, July 31, 2:54 p.m. – A The Institutional Marketing Group at Jackson National Life Insurance Company, Lansing, Mich., is reporting $393 million in life and annuity premium sales for the second quarter, up 51% from the second quarter of 2000.

Income figures were not immediately available.

Jackson National is a subsidiary of Prudential P.L.C., London, a large British insurer that is not affiliated with Prudential Insurance Company of America, Newark, N.J.

The marketing group unit distributes fixed annuities, variable annuities and other products through banks, savings and loan associations and other financial institutions.

Sales of fixed annuities have been strong this year, and eight financial institutions have agreed to work with Jackson National, the marketing group says.
