NU Online News Service, July 23, 5:35 p.m. – Ameritas Life Insurance Corp., Lincoln, Neb., has introduced an automated billing system for voluntary group dental plans.
The Ameritas group dental unit will be offering the billing service to new employer groups that deduct payments for coverage from employees’ paychecks.
The system can accommodate an employer’s payroll schedule by billing employees 12, 13, 24, 26 or 52 times a year.
The system can also handle bills for employees who join or leave a plan in the middle of a month. The system can arrange for temporary interruptions in billing for employees who take temporary leaves of absence without actually terminating coverage.
