NU Online News Service, July 9, 1:09 p.m. – The New York Times has put the recent drop in 401(k) plan asset values into the spotlight by running a front-page article about the subject by Danny Hakim in the July 9 edition.

“The trend,” Hakim writes, “is exposing years of mistakes by employees, raising some questions about proposals to permit Americans to manage part of their Social Security accounts and clouding the future of many employees’ nest eggs for retirement.”
