NU Online News Service, July 3, 1:50 p.m. – Tillinghast-Towers Perrin, New York, the actuarial arm of Towers Perrin, says it has hired Michael O’Connor as a senior consultant in its life sector practice.
O’Connor previously was chief actuary for Great American Financial Resources Inc., Cincinnati, a company that sells annuities and supplemental health insurance as well as life insurance.
Before O’Connor joined Great American, he worked on a team that developed fixed and floating-rate guaranteed investment contracts at Providian Corp., San Francisco.
O’Connor has a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas. He is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Schaumburg, Ill., and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, Washington.
