Having video on your website is easier and more effective than ever. And from a marketing perspective, it’s an absolute must. Here are just a few of the benefits of adding video to your marketing repertoire:

1.     It grabs the viewer’s attention. The Internet is filled with text and pictures. Therefore, a short, well-scripted video often stands out to consumers. It helps build relationships with people you may or may not ever meet and adds a truly personal touch to your website.

2.     It increases credibility. Video can make you and your offerings more believable. When prospects view a video on your website, they can more readily appreciate the significance of your services. You can feature yourself or staff members explaining how the service you provide is superior as well as answering questions, all of which ups your credibility.

3.     It’s easy. Almost anyone can create and upload a video, and there are dozens of reference sites that make uploading, embedding and sharing video fairly simple. You don’t have to be a professional; in fact, your audience will be a lot happier if you aren’t because you’ll come across as authentic.

4.     It’s more compelling than text.Visuals are far better at explaining or presenting information and products than plain text or still pictures and graphics. The direct approach makes communicating your message easier and more effective.

5.     It has the potential to go viral. If your video is more than just information and includes a little something extra in terms of entertainment or added humor, it could spread and be talked about by millions. You never know!

Think about the ways you can incorporate video into your marketing campaign. It’s easier than you think.
