Hub International Ltd. has acquired the assets of Workplace Benefit Solutions L.L.C.
Hub, Chicago, is a large insurance brokerage firm.
Workplace Benefit Solutions, Manchester, N.H., was founded in 2001 and now focuses on selling benefits products and services to large and midsize employers in New England.
Workplace Benefit Solutions customers include health care organizations and public-sector benefit plan sponsors such as cities, school districts and public employee unions.
Hub is not saying how much it is paying for Workplace Benefit Solutions, but it says David Larrivee, the founder of the firm and a principal consultant, will go to work for the Hub International New England operation.
Tom DeLacey, another principal consultant at Workplace Benefit Solutions, also will join the New England operation, Hub says.
