Grace Hinchman will be succeeding Kevin Cronin as executive director of the American Academy of Actuaries.

The AAA, Washington, seeks to share the views of U.S. actuaries with public policymakers.

Hinchman has been senior vice president of public affairs and technical activities at Financial Executives International, Florham Park, N.J., a group for chief financial officers, controllers, treasurers and corporate tax directors.

While at FEI, Hinchman helped lobby for passage of the FEI.

In the past, Hinchman served on the staff of Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, D-N.Y.

She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree from George Washington University.
