Medical Group Insurance Services Inc. has developed a package of employee assistance programs and work-life services for medical group practices.
MGIS, Salt Lake City, will be getting the package from the Wellesley, Mass., U.S. arm of Sun Life Financial Inc., Toronto. Sun Life, in turn, gets the services from ComPsych Corp., Chicago.
The package includes up to 5 free face-to-face counseling sessions per employee for emotional problems; telephone access to lawyers; 1 free face-to-face meeting with a lawyer; unlimited telephone access to staff financial counselors; and access to a free, Web-based will preparation service.
