J.P. Morgan Asset Management announced this week the launch of the 2013 edition of its Guide to Retirement, a free informational tool designed to help financial advisors have more effective retirement planning conversations with their clients.
The Guide to Retirement features user-friendly charts on retirement planning topics to help financial advisors engage clients, explain complex topics and encourage informed decisions.
The expanded 2013 edition of the guide includes:
- A retirement savings checkpoint grid that lets investors check whether they’re on track to meet retirement savings goals
- Portfolio-construction models that lay out retirement income streams
- Analysis of tax considerations for Roth versus traditional IRAs
- Additional content on health care costs, saving trends and spending analysis
“The Guide to Retirement can be a versatile tool for financial advisors in showing clients how demographics and data trends fit into their own personal retirement savings picture,” said Katherine Roy (left), chief retirement strategist at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, in a statement.
The new and improved 2013 retirement guide provides visuals and graphics organized in one place so clients can absorb complex concepts, yet it also allows advisors to layer on their own planning and investment perspectives, Roy added.
