Jackson And Wachovia Improve Annuity Pact

Jackson National Life Insurance Company has extended an agreement with Wachovia Securities to provide variable and fixed index annuities in Wachovia bank branches.

Before the extension of the pact, Jackson’s relationship with Wachovia was solely with its national brokerage network.

Under the new agreement, approved Wachovia Securities financial advisors in the firm’s Investment Service Group can offer Jackson’s Perspective II, Perspective L Series and Perspective Advisors II variable annuities as well as the Elite Annual Reset, Elite Choice and Elite Choice Rewards fixed index annuities.

To support the new agreement, Jackson is inaugurating a marketing campaign directed at Wachovia Securities’ in-bank financial advisors, including the posting of a “Welcome to Jackson” video on Wachovia Securities’ financial advisors’ intranet site.

Jackson says it also will conduct in-person and Web-based training sessions and take part in several of Wachovia Securities’ vendor, partner and top producer meetings.

Under the deal, Jackson also pledged to hire additional wholesalers to support Wachovia.
